Tornado warning: Fayette County, Washington County, Greene County

The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has issued a tornado warning for southwestern Washington County and western Greene County until 7:45 p.m. Monday, and for Fayette County until 8:15 p.m.

At 7:31 p.m., a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Brownsville, or 8 miles northwest of Uniontown, and is nearly stationary.

At 7:39 p.m., a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Uniontown, moving east at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado. SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely.

This dangerous storm will be near... Farmington around 8:05 p.m.

Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include Mill Run, Dunbar, Fairchance, Ohiopyle, Chalkhill and Markleysburg.

This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of southwestern Washington, western Greene, southeastern Ohio and northeastern Marshall Counties, including the following locations... West Alexander, Amity, Nineveh, West Finley, Rogersville, Dallas, Marianna and Deemston.

Instructions: TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris.
