Monday, June 20: World Refugee Day in Schenley Plaza 4-8 p.m. Welcome the region’s newest neighbors while marking World Refugee Day and Immigrant Heritage Month. The family celebration features authentic cuisine, storytimes, music and puppetry, and lawn games. Learn dance styles, hop on the carousel and see a presentation of “Peace by Chocolate,” which tells the story of a Syrian refugee family who brought their business to their new home in Canada.

Saturday, June 25: Spark/Pride in Dormont 2-8 p.m. Dormont’s Potomac Avenue commercial district shows its Pride during the neighborhood’s first large-scale pride event. Animating the street will be performances by local musicians Royce, Trailheads, HellYinz and Halloway Williams, award-winning standup comedian Gab Bonesso and Dormont’s own Junior Chamber of Commerce Players. Adding to the fun will be drag story times with Krystal Klear, a walkable art tour, food purveyors and local vendors.

Saturday, June 25: Inside Out at Carnegie Museum of Art 12-5 p.m. Clear your Saturday for free al fresco fun. Visitors and families alike will enjoy a Black Power Story Time presented by BOOM Concepts, music by DJ Arie Cole and local food trucks. As a precursor to the 58th Carnegie International, artist Rafael Domenech will transform the Sculpture Court into a site-specific pavilion.

Saturday, June 25: Night Market in Market Square 5-10 p.m. More daylight means more time to shop when this popular market returns Downtown. Showcasing a rotating roster of 100 vendors, the nighttime bazaar includes artisan goods, handmade crafts, jewelry, fine art, fashion, photography, international wares. Opening night includes local musicians on the Mr. Small’s Acoustic Café stage.
Sunday, June 26: OpenStreetsPGH 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Is there anything more liberating than walking, running, skating or dancing in the middle of a city street? Promoting car-free fun as a “vehicle” for community building, this beloved BikePGH event gives residents an entirely new perspective on urban life. This month’s 4-mile route stretches from Market Square, down Penn Avenue to Butler Street and ends at McCandless St. Stop for fun at the Health & Wellness Hub, Argo AI Kids and Arts & Culture Hub.
Sunday, June 26: Robin Hood at South Park Amphitheater 2 p.m. & 7 p.m. Pittsburgh Public Theater leaves the O’Reilly stage and heads into the royal Sherwood Forest with a fabled band of merry men during this new al fresco series.
